After debuting earlier this year in other regions, Huawei has begun taking orders in N. America for four low-cost and mid-range Android tablets from its MediaPad line.

Huawei MediaPad M3 LiteThe MediaPad T3 comes in a 9.6-inch ($159) and 8-inch versions ($139). Both screens have a 1280-by-800-pixel resolution. Internally, these devices have almost identical specifications, including running Android 7.0 Nougat on 1.5 GHz or 1.4 GHz quad-core processors from Qualcomm, with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. They’re powered by 4800 mAh batteries.

The Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite is available in 10.1-inch ($249) and 8-inch ($199) variants. Higher-resolution, 1920 by 1200 pixel displays help justify the greater costs. Both run run Android 7.0 Nougat, with 3GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage capacity. A biometric fingerprint scanner is included.

The larger version has a 1.7 GHz octa-core Qualcomm processor, with four speakers and a 6660 mAh battery. The smaller one uses a 1.6 GHz octa-core chip, and includes dual speakers and a 4800 mAh battery.
